Davis Gortner

Davis brings a thoughtful, integrative approach to his work with children, teens, and young adults. He specializes in supporting those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and other forms of neurodivergence, providing an affirming and developmentally informed space for therapeutic growth. His clinical framework integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and evidence-based play and art-based therapies. This approach allows Davis to meet each child where they are emotionally, cognitively, and neurologically, supporting both expression and regulation in ways that feel natural and accessible.

With experience across outpatient clinics, neuropsychological assessment settings, crisis services, and school environments, Davis understands the wide range of pressures facing today’s youth. He has worked extensively with children and adolescents managing academic stress, perfectionism, social anxiety, executive functioning challenges, and emotion regulation difficulties. His warm, steady presence helps kids and teens feel secure enough to explore difficult feelings, while his collaborative style ensures parents remain supported partners in the therapeutic process.

Davis is committed to neurodiversity-affirming care and draws from his background in both biology and psychology to tailor interventions to each client’s unique developmental profile. Born and raised in the area, he values the opportunity to serve the community he grew up in, and he brings a grounded, relational approach to every family he works with. Davis is a psychological extern supervised by Dr. Darrell.

  • Payment and Insurance

    Hourly Rate: $225

Payment. While Mighty Village does not accept insurance, we are happy to provide you with appropriate documentation and properly coded forms for you to submit to your insurance company. Cash or check are accepted for payment. Our office can put your credit card on file for a one-time or recurring fee.

Insurance Reimbursement. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

    • Do I have mental health benefits?
    • What is my deductible and has it been met?
    • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
    • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
    • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

In many cases, reimbursement depends on the diagnosis. Please keep in mind that what insurance companies consider to be a percentage of reimbursement for "usual and customary" fees are not based on true charges.

All fees are payable at the time of the visit. Our office will provide a statement for your insurance company upon request. We will not directly bill your insurance company. You are responsible for all billing and collection of reimbursements from your insurance company.

Cancellation Policy. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session as booked.
