  • About Davis

    Education

PsyD (In Progress), The Chicago School, Los Angeles, CA
BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, UC Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA

Davis earned his Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the UCSB, where he developed a scientific approach to understanding behavior and systems. He went on to complete post-baccalaureate psychology coursework at UC Berkeley Extension before beginning his doctoral training. Davis is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, CA, with a specialized emphasis in Neuropsychology.

    Professional Experience
Davis began his clinical journey as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) where he provided life-saving interventions and emotional support during high-stakes emergencies. Working in fast-paced, unpredictable environments helped him develop a calm, grounded presence and a strong foundation in crisis care. He later taught at an international school in Indonesia, where he worked closely with middle and high school students as both a teacher and Dean of 8th Grade. Through this experience, Davis supported students' academic growth while helping them navigate the emotional and social challenges of adolescence. His hands-on work deepened his understanding of the pressures young people face, especially those related to performance, identity, peer relationships, and family dynamics. More recently, Davis has led cognitive assessments for arraigned defendants at the Los Angeles Superior Court. His role included collaborating with legal professionals and mentoring assessment trainees. Additionally, as a Crisis Counselor, Davis provided immediate, culturally-sensitive emotional support to individuals in distress, enhancing his ability to respond effectively to a wide range of psychological needs.

  • Payment and Insurance

    Hourly Rate: $225

Payment. While Mighty Village does not accept insurance, we are happy to provide you with appropriate documentation and properly coded forms for you to submit to your insurance company. Cash or check are accepted for payment. Our office can put your credit card on file for a one-time or recurring fee.

Insurance Reimbursement. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

    • Do I have mental health benefits?
    • What is my deductible and has it been met?
    • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
    • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
    • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

In many cases, reimbursement depends on the diagnosis. Please keep in mind that what insurance companies consider to be a percentage of reimbursement for "usual and customary" fees are not based on true charges.

All fees are payable at the time of the visit. Our office will provide a statement for your insurance company upon request. We will not directly bill your insurance company. You are responsible for all billing and collection of reimbursements from your insurance company.

Cancellation Policy. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session as booked.
