Psychotherapy Services

It is common for children who are struggling to be labeled as unmotivated, stubborn, attention-seeking, manipulative, resistant, or defiant. However, these behaviors often stem from underlying challenges or difficulties that a child may be facing. At our clinic, we recognize that children have the potential to do well if they have the necessary skills and support. That is why our goal is to identify your child's strengths and challenges, and work with you and your child to develop strategies to overcome any obstacles that may be preventing them from reaching their full potential. By working together, we can help you and your child better understand and address these behaviors, and support your child in developing the skills and abilities needed to thrive.

Our treatment approach pulls from research-supported modalities in order to most effectively address the presenting issues. While our overarching approach is based on Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), a few of the many approaches and strategies that we use include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), biofeedback/neurofeedback, virtual reality therapy (VRT), parent management training, social skills development, attachment-based and person-centered approaches, among others.
