Nina Diepenbrock, MA

Nina is a dedicated therapist committed to fostering emotional growth and resilience in children, adolescents, and adults. With a foundation in integrative and psychoanalytic therapy, she helps clients explore their inner worlds—uncovering the unconscious patterns, early relational experiences, and emotional dynamics that shape present-day struggles. Her approach weaves together Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Humanistic Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques to offer a compassionate, individualized space for healing and insight.

She has experience supporting clients through a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and stress. In her work with children, she incorporates expressive modalities like play and art therapy to support emotional expression and regulation, particularly when words are not enough. Her approach is grounded in developmental awareness, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for the unique lived experience of each client.

Nina’s clinical work is informed by a genuine curiosity about the human psyche and a belief in each person’s capacity for growth. She is passionate about creating a safe, affirming therapeutic space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported—whether they are navigating early developmental challenges or exploring complex adult life transitions. Nina is a psychological extern and is supervised by Dr. Darrell.

    Professional Experience
Nina has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and couples across a variety of clinical settings, providing developmentally informed, culturally attuned, and relationship-focused care. As a Psychological Associate for Dr. Mai Breech, she offered integrative psychoanalytic therapy to clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational difficulties—attending closely to the influence of early experiences, emotional dynamics, and unconscious patterns. At Creating Families Together, Inc., she provided school-based therapy to young children in the Compton Unified School District, using play therapy, CBT, and family systems interventions with English- and Spanish-speaking families. She collaborated closely with parents, teachers, and school staff to support emotional regulation, behavior, and developmental growth. At Learning Dynamics, Inc., Nina delivered individual and couples therapy across the lifespan, addressing a wide range of emotional, relational, and psychological concerns. Earlier in her career, she served as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Yale University’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Unit, where she conducted neuropsychological assessments and co-facilitated caregiver support groups. Across settings, Nina has developed a commitment to comprehensive, evidence-based care that honors the complexity of each client’s story—recognizing how factors like development, early attachment, cultural identity, health, and relationships shape mental health and resilience.

  • Payment and Insurance

    Hourly Rate: $225

Payment. While Mighty Village does not accept insurance, we are happy to provide you with appropriate documentation and properly coded forms for you to submit to your insurance company. Cash or check are accepted for payment. Our office can put your credit card on file for a one-time or recurring fee.

Insurance Reimbursement. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

    • Do I have mental health benefits?
    • What is my deductible and has it been met?
    • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
    • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
    • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

In many cases, reimbursement depends on the diagnosis. Please keep in mind that what insurance companies consider to be a percentage of reimbursement for "usual and customary" fees are not based on true charges.

All fees are payable at the time of the visit. Our office will provide a statement for your insurance company upon request. We will not directly bill your insurance company. You are responsible for all billing and collection of reimbursements from your insurance company.

Cancellation Policy. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session as booked.
